Cherry White Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients

Here's what you need to make these cherry white chocolate cookies:

  • ½ cup salted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries, chopped (roughly 16 cherries)

How to make these maraschino cherry white chocolate chip cookies

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, mix  the butter and both the granulated and brown sugars in a mixing bowl until well combined.

Next, add the egg, milk and vanilla. Beat until well-combined.

mixing bowl with butter and sugar creamed together. Then an egg and vanilla extract added to the bowl.

Next, add the baking soda and mix well. I like to add this before the flour so that it gets mixed together fully.

Using a whisk attachment on a kitchenaid mixer to beat the ingredients together

Then, add the flour to the mixture ½ cup at a time. Make sure to use a rubber spatula so that you get all the flour off the sides of the bowl and mixed together.

adding flour to the mixing bowl and using a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is evenly mixed together

Once all the flour is mixed, you can add the white chocolate chips. I will be honest, this is the time that I also am munching on white chocolate chips because they are just so GOOD!

adding white chocolate chips to the cookie dough in the mixing bowl

Then, you can cut about 16 maraschino cherries in half and then half again. I liked that the cherries were still large enough to taste them in these white chocolate chip cookies.

You will then want to mix these cherries into the batter using a rubber spatula so they don't get crushed, but still mixed in to make for the best white chocolate chip cookies with maraschino cherries.

Roll the cookie dough into balls and smash them down a little bit so when they cook they flatten out evenly.

balls of cookie dough placed on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and flattened slightly with the palm of your hand to allow for even cooking

Bake the white chocolate chip cookies for 8-10 minutes rotating after about half-way.

I like using parchment paper on my cookie sheet to make clean-up easy. Parchment paper can be found at the grocery store near the aluminum foil, and wax paper or you can find it here on Amazon.

This white chocolate chip cookies recipe makes approximately 18 cookies depending on how big you make them.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy these white chocolate chip cookies with maraschino cherries. They are so deliciously sweet!

P.S. Don't forget to pin this to your recipe board on Pinterest so you can easily find it again and again!!
