The Best Peanut Butter Cookies

These peanut butter cookies are absolutely the best! They are soft and chewy, and easy to make. Not only that they are full of that delicious peanut butter flavor that so many crave.

What you need to make Peanut butter cookies

Here's what you need to make these delicious cookies:

  • 1 ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup Peanut Butter
  • 3 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup butter (softened, not melted)
  • 2 cups flour

How to make the best peanut butter cookies

Before you make these soft peanut butter cookies, pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Next, add the brown sugar, egg and peanut butter into a large mixing bowl, and mix thoroughly.

Adding egg, peanut butter, and brown sugar to a mixing bowl.

Then, add the milk, vanilla and baking soda (I like adding this before the flour because then it is incorporated better).

Adding milk, vanilla, and baking soda to the peanut butter mixture.

Next, add the softened butter--it is important that it is soft and not melted because it makes this batter soft and fluffy.

Adding softened butter to the peanut butter mixture.

Beat on medium for about 2 minutes until the batter starts to look lighter. Then, slowly add the flour in ½ cup at a time, making sure to mix thoroughly after each addition.

Once you are finished making the dough for these soft peanut butter cookies, roll into balls and then place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper (for easy clean up). Next, flatten with a fork tines using the criss-cross method.

Then, bake these sof peanut butter cookies for 7 ½ - 8 minutes rotating half-way.

Let them cool about 1 minute on the cookie sheet to let the cookie sink down to it's final shape. Then transfer to a plate or cooling rack.

This recipe makes 24 soft peanut butter cookies, unless you have cookie dough eaters in your family like mine ;).

Seriously, please tell me I'm not the only one with a husband or significant other who likes to eat the cookie dough before you ever get a cookie cooked?

Anyway, thanks for reading! Comment below if you enjoyed these. Also, don't forget to pin this to your cookies board on Pinterest.
