No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Peanut butter pie is a creamy and delicious dessert! What's also great about this particular pie is that it is no bake. 🙂

You can also dress up this peanut butter pie by adding chocolate chips and drizzling some melted peanut butter on top.

1 8oz package cream cheese

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 16oz container of cool whip

The final step to making this peanut butter pie is to add in the cool whip. Start out by adding in half of the container. When this has been mixed thoroughly, add in the other half of the cool whip.

I was able to fill two chocolate pie shells for my daughter's fund raiser. It makes a lot of filling. I also topped my pies with some mini chocolate chips. I'm sure they will enjoy. Thank you!

Super easy to make and oh so delicious. I added some mini chocolate chips to the filling prior to pouring into the pie crust. Then I drizzled some melted chocolate chips over the top - super yummy 😋. This will become a go to recipe when I need something quick!

I want to try this but I have a couple of questions.
Should the cream cheese be cold or room temperature?
Should the cool whip be right from the freezer or should it be let to defrost a bit in the refrigerator?
How long can this be kept in the refrigerator before serving? In other words can it be made the day before or the morning of?

    Thank you,

The cream cheese should be cold, but the cool whip should be in the refrigerator for at least a day. Frozen cool whip doesn't have the right consistency. As far as making it ahead of time, you can definitely make this the day before. I usually keep it in the finished pie in the freezer and then about 3 hours to serving, I place it in the refrigerator. Hope this helps Donna!

Oh dear, I of course have done the exact opposite and I need the desert for tonight.
Oh well! I'll have to fast track the cooling of the cool whip and hope for the best. 😬

Before I put the peanut butter filling in the graham Cracker Crust, I took a jar of Hot Fudge Ice Cream topping heated it up in the microwave and put a layer of this over the bottom of the crust. I then placed it in the fridge to chill, then I put my peanut butter filling in the crust. Heat the fudge topping up again and drizzle over the top of the pie. This is really good.

This looks so delicious and I can't wait to try it! Can I use heavy cream instead of cool whip? Should I whip it up first?

Hi Jess, heavy cream should work, but you will need about half as much. Since the recipe calls for 16oz of cool whip, you will need 8oz of heavy cream.

As far as whipping it up first, it would speed up the process, but you could add it directly in. It will just take longer to whip up to the right consistency. Hope this helps!

Made this no bake peanut butter pie today. It looks delicious and instead of drizzling peanut butter drizzling, I put mini chips inside as well as on top! Thanks for sharing 👍
