No bake cookies are one of the easiest desserts to make, and these fun heart shaped cookies are so festive.
Another great thing about these cookies is that you can change up the color to suit your needs. Use a candy melt or add some food coloring to melted white chocolate.
The secret to a perfect heart shaped cookie
These cookies are delicious, but they also have the perfect heart shape. The secret is using a cookie cutter and scooping the no bake cookie dough into the cookie cutter to let it harden.
This gives you a nice clean edge.
How to decorate these cookies
The great thing about no bake cookies is that you can decorate them with icing, white chocolate, or candy melts.
I like to use colored white chocolate, but candy melts is another easy alternative.
What other shapes can no bake cookies be formed into?
You can actually form these cookies into lots of different shapes, so long as you have the cookie cutter! Check out my Christmas Tree no bake cookies here for another fun twist on this classic.
How do you freeze these no bake cookies?
No bake cookies freeze easily, but it's best to leave the decorating until you are ready to eat. Place the cookies in a freezer bag laying them flat.
Let them thaw at room temperature before eating.

No bake cookies for Valentines Day
These heart shaped no bake cookies are not only easy to make, but are so fun with the brightly colored white chocolate.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- ½ cup salted butter
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 cup white chocolate chips melted
- food coloring
Instructions
Directions:
-
Melt the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla together in a medium sauce pan. Then, add in the peanut butter.
-
Let this boil for about 3 minutes and then remove it from the heat. Pour the quick cooking oats into your peanut butter and chocolate sauce. Stir well and then let sit for about another 5 minutes.
-
Lay wax paper on a cookie sheet and place a heart cookie cutter on it. Then, scoop the chocolate no bake cookies mixture into the cookie cutter.
-
Place it in the freezer to let it sit for 5 minutes and then carefully remove the cookie cutter. Repeat for all the other cookies.
-
Next, melt the white chocolate chips and then add in a couple drops of pink or red food coloring gel. While the chocolate is still warm and melted, carefully transfer it to a ziploc bag or pastry bag.
-
Cut a small hole in the pastry bag/ziploc bag and begin decorating these no bake cookies. Then enjoy!

How do you store these if you’re not eating right away or freezing them. Is room temperature ok? Or do the need to be put in the fridge?
Joanna Stephens
Great question Kristen! You can store these no bake cookies at room temperature in a sealed container for about a week. They will last about 2 weeks if you store them in the refrigerator. Hope this helps!
