The easiest focaccia bread recipe that you can make in your slow cooker crock pot!

What is Focaccia?

Focaccia bread is an Italian flat bread with a ton of herbs. It tastes and smells AMAZING.

For this recipe I used my slow cooker because it took a lot of the work out of making bread.

What you need to make Focaccia Bread

  • 1 ½ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (microwaved for about 30 seconds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon Italian seasonings (make sure it has thyme and rosemary in it)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

For the topping

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings

How to make this Focaccia bread in a slow cooker?

In a large mixing bowl add your yeast and warm milk. Give it a quick mix and then let it set for 8 minutes.

Then, add in your olive oil, salt, and Italian seasonings. Mix this again until fully combined.

Then, add in 1 cup of flour. Mix, then switch to your dough hook. Add in 1 more cup of flour and the dough should come together, but still sticky.

Place parchment paper in your slow cooker. Then, scrape the dough onto the parchment paper. Cover with a light kitchen towel, then place the lid back on. Turn to warm and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.

Take the lid and towel back off, and the dough should have doubled in size. Then, poke the dough with your fingers to leave a few indentations in the dough.

In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings. With a pastry brush, brush this on top of your dough.

Then, place the towel and lid back on. Cook on high for 2 hours.

Carefully, remove the parchment paper with the bread. Place it on a cutting board and cut your slices. Then, serve.
