Peanut Butter Pie FAQ

What is peanut butter pie made of?

It's made of a combination of cream cheese, peanut butter, cool whip (or whipped cream), and powdered sugar. Once you whip everything together, put it into a graham cracker crust or even a chocolate crust.

Can you freeze no-bake pies?

Yes! This no bake peanut butter pie is best if frozen and then thawed about an hour before you are ready to serve.

What's the best peanut butter to use?

Creamy is what we always use, but crunchy will work too!

Can I use heavy whipping cream instead of cool whip?

Instead of using 16 oz of Cool Whip, you can replace this with 8 oz of heavy whipping cream. Also, you might want to whip this up to thick peaks first before you add it to the rest of the ingredients.

What you need to make peanut butter pie

1 cup powdered sugar

1 8oz package cream cheese

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 16oz container of cool whip

1 (9 inch) graham cracker crust

How to make this no bake pie

The first step in making this peanut butter pie is to add the powdered sugar and cream cheese into a mixing bowl. You will then want to whip the two together for at least 3-5 minutes or until creamy in texture.

The next step is adding in the creamy peanut butter. Again, you will want to mix this for a few minutes. It will resemble that of a peanut butter cookie dough.

This is one recipe I use a good bit. It is incredibly sweet, I was thinking of cutting back on the confectionery sugar. Not because of calories just because it is just a tad too sweet from being perfect for my palate. Has anyone tried this? Recommendation please. Ty🙂

Made this for my husband’s birthday. It was so simple and delicious. I chopped up some peanut butter cups for the top and drizzled with chocolate syrup when I served it, to make it look fancy. Thanks for the recipe!

For this recipe I use 16oz of cool whip, so you would need about 1/2 of the container. Hope this helps!
