You will be happy know that you can use corn chex or rice chex for this recipe. Whichever you like more, or have in your pantry!

How should you store any leftover muddy buddies?

If you have leftovers, (IF being the keyword because it tastes so good you probably won’t have any left over) store in an air-tight container like a ziplock bag or put some plastic wrap over your serving bowl.

Can you Double this recipe?

Yes, this recipe can easily be doubled! Just use a larger bowl to hold your chex cereal when you are pouring the melted peanut butter and chocolate over.

Ingredients needed to make this recipe:

  • 4 cups Chex cereal (rice or corn)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

This coating will be what the powdered sugar sticks to in the next step.

put the coated chex in a ziploc bag

Place the chocolate and peanut butter covered chex cereal into a large ziplock bag. Then, add in the powdered sugar. Close the zipper, and then shake your bag. The goal is to get all the puppy chow evenly dusted with powdered sugar.
