Focaccia bread is an Italian flat bread with a ton of herbs like rosemary and thyme. It's very aromatic, and delicious.
In a large mixing bowl add your yeast and warm milk. Give it a quick mix and then let it set for 8 minutes.
Then, add in your olive oil, salt, and Italian seasonings. Mix this again until fully combined.
Then, add in 1 cup of flour. Mix for about 1 minute, then switch to your dough hook. Add in 1 more cup of flour and the dough should come together, but still sticky.
Place parchment paper in your slow cooker. Then, scrape the dough onto the parchment paper. Cover with a light kitchen towel, then place the lid back on. Turn to warm and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
Take the lid and towel back off, and the dough should have doubled in size. Then, poke the dough with your fingers to leave a few indentations in the dough.
In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings. With a pastry brush, brush this on top of your dough.
Then, place the towel and lid back on. Cook on high for 2 hours.
Carefully, remove the parchment paper with the bread. Place it on a cutting board and cut your slices. Then, serve.
Focaccia bread is best served warm.
Store leftover bread slices in an air-tight container. Re-heat in a microwave, toaster, or the oven for best results.
