A little bit tart and a whole lot sweet, these lemon crinkle cookies are such a delicious treat. They also kind of taste like Fruit Loops cereal.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and salt. Whisk together, then add in the egg. Whisk again.
Next, add in the lemon juice and lemon zest. Then, add in your baking soda.
Finally, add in your flour. If you want a vivid yellow cookie, add in the yellow food coloring now.
Scoop out balls of cookie dough and roll in powdered sugar. Smash down with the palm of your hand.
Place on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden brown around the edges.
