The very best garlic breadsticks to serve for dinner with spaghetti, Alfredo, or pizza. Soft and full of garlic flavor!
In a large mixing bowl add in your yeast and sugar. Pour the warm water into the bowl with the yeast. Whisk it together and then let it sit for about 8 minutes.
Combine the minced garlic and the melted butter together. Then, pour this garlic butter into the yeast. Mix it together for 1 minute.
Then, start adding flour, 1 cup at a time. Mixing well after each addition. After 2 cups of flour has been added, switch to your dough hook attachment. Then, add in the remaining flour.
Once the dough has started coming together, you can knead it 10 times in the bowl. Form it into a ball and place it in a well-oiled bowl. Cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Divide the dough into 12 equal sections and begin rolling them out into the shape of breadsticks and lay them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. At this same time pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Then prepare your garlic butter topping. Combine the melted butter, salt, garlic salt, and Italian seasonings together and mix with a pastry brush.
Lightly brush the butter onto the breadsticks and then bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden around the edges.
Immediately after coming out of the oven, lightly brush some more garlic butter onto the breadsticks. Let them cool, and then serve!
