Early signs of pregnancy from an experienced mom
Being pregnant comes with a whole new lifestyle, so it is important to know the early signs of pregnancy. Whether you are trying to concevie or not, this article will help you know some of the early symptoms before you get a positive pregnancy test. I have had my fair share of pregnancies, 3 ending in miscarriages and 2 of them bringing me my beautiful children so I am rather experienced in the early signs of pregnancy.

I do want to tell you that while I am not a doctor, I have experienced these early signs. If you think you are pregnant, it is also best to follow-up with your OBGYN or family doctor to confirm.
Early Signs of Pregnancy
One of the first signs of pregnancy would be nausea. It might start off as rather small and as you get further along it will increase quite a bit. This is due to the increase in pregnancy hormones as your baby grows inside of you. The nausea will also most likely turn into vomiting (I won’t call it morning sickness because it can happen all day long).
2. Mild mood swings
Again, you can blame the increased hormones on possible mood swings. With all of my pregnancies, when I started snapping more at people, it became a red flag that I was pregnant. This doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen, but if you find yourself losing your cool easier than normal it my be a sign.
3. SPidey senses
No, you won’t get spidey senses, sorry but the third early sign of pregnancy is increased sense of smell as well as your taste buds might get wacky. You might be able to pick up on smells that others can’t or smell things from far away. It can be a blessing and a curse. Some smells will inevitably trigger your nausea and vomiting.
Your sense of smell isn’t the only thing that changes, your sense of taste will get wacky too! Things you used to like the taste of, you might not like anymore. There is also the common saying that pregnant women crave pickles and ice cream, but I can’t confirm that. I hate pickles, and never once craved them!
4. Your bladder starts betraying you
Pregnant women are notorious for using the bathroom all the time, and this starts early on in pregnancy. This is because of the increased pressure from your growing uterus on your bladder. Like a lot of these early signs of pregnancy, it will only get worse as you get further along.
5. Hot flashes
This fifth sign of pregnancy is one I experienced a lot with all of my pregnancies. I would be fine one minute and hot the next. I’m not quite sure if all pregnant women have experienced it with their pregnancies early on, but I definitely did.
6. Missed period
The last more sure-fire early sign of pregnancy is a missed period. While missing your period doesn’t always indicate pregnancy, it is a big reason why women buy home pregnancy tests.
If you have misssed your period or suspect you are pregnant, I really liked these pregnancy tests that you can buy here on Amazon. They seemed to give me an accurate result the fastest, and you didn’t have to collect your urine and dip it, you could simply pee on the stick. Pregnancy tests are not always 100% right, so it’s important that you verify with a doctor if you got a positive or you got a negative but still think you are pregnant.
Whether you are trying to get pregnant or not, knowing the early signs of pregnancy can be extremely beneficial. Just remember if you are experiencing nausesa, slight mood swings, increased sense of smell and taste, peeing more frequently, hot flashes, and then finally a missed period, there is a good chance that you might be pregnant. It is always good to take a home pregnancy test as well as set up an appointment with your doctor to verify.
